A photographer from St Helens captured this unusual sight flying over one of the town’s busiest parks.
Lilia Hughes, of West Park, was walking through Taylor Park last Wednesday (October 23) when she spotted the object.
A keen amateur snapper who regularly contributes to the St Helens Reporter’s picture of the week feature, she managed to capture to weird sight using a digital camera.
She said: “It looked like a bright yellow spot in the western direction of the sky, just above the clouds.
“It did not move or change its shape during five to eight minutes I’d had my observation of it. I took picture of it by about 20 and this is the result.
